Jakhiya is the seed of the Cleome viscosa plant used for tempering on culinary dishes in Uttarakhand. It is mostly grown and consumed in Uttarakhand . The seeds are dark brown in color, and crackles on being heated in oil.They have Numerous Health benefits so that you can use them in your daily cooking for tempering vegetables and pulses (dal).
